I keep seeing pics of this car, I wonder what’s its story? Maybe there’s some amazing engine swap hiding behind dat arse?

I posted it on VISIT and a local guy knew the story behind it. There was a company that built at least three of them, the wide track is supposed to give better stability at speed with some sort of display on top. A canoe in this case, originally they had large globes on top, and one of the others has a big sign.

Huh, that sort of actually makes sense. I mean you can carry canoes on the roof without any stability issues (doesn’t raise the COG that much) but a big sign or a big globe could make wind handling pretty messy. Neat! :)
